Basketball Recap: Leadership Public Schools Richmond Takes a Loss

Leadership Public Schools Richmond was the 37-33 winner over Envision Academy when they last played one another back in January of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Leadership Public Schools Richmond Pumas took a blow against Envision Academy on Tuesday, falling 104-31. The Pumas have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Envision Academy to victory, but perhaps none more so than Chuka ACHINULO, who dropped a double-double on 30 points and 16 rebounds. ACHINULO's evening made it eight games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Irvelle Winchester, who went 12 of 15 en route to 32 points along with six boards and five assists.

Leadership Public Schools Richmond's loss dropped their record down to 8-8. As for Envision Academy, their win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 11-11.

Leadership Public Schools Richmond will head out to square off against Leadership at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday. Leadership will roll in looking for their tenth straight victory, something Leadership Public Schools Richmond surely won't give up without a fight. Envision Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
