Volleyball Recap: Avenal Starts Season with Victory at Home

Avenal took care of business in their home opener (and then some) on Monday. They blew past the Corcoran Panthers 3-0. The Buccaneers were shut out 2-0 the last time they took on the Panthers, so the Buccaneers were just returning the favor.

Avenal never let Corcoran on the board, but things got pretty close in the third set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-19, 25-14, 25-23.

Avenal has already played their next game, a 3-1 defeat against Farmersville on the 14th. As for Corcoran, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 3-1 victory against Washington Union on the 12th.
