Basketball Recap: Lincoln Comes Up Short

Lincoln played a tough contest on Wednesday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They lost 82-59 to the Independence 76ers. The Lions have struggled against the 76ers recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive lost matchup.

Despite the loss, Lincoln still got an impressive performance from Joseph Shelton, who posted 28 points. Shelton's evening made it eight games in a row in which he has scored at least 18 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jaden Peters, who had nine points and five boards.

Lincoln's loss dropped their record down to 11-10. As for Independence, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 12 of their last 14 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 14-6 record this season.

Lincoln wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 64-46 win against Silver Creek on the 7th. As for Independence, they have also already played their next contest, a 64-53 victory against Leland on the 7th.
