Softball Recap: Sycamore's Luck Changes for the Better on Sunday

Sycamore had to endure a five-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They blew past the St. George's Gryphons 10-2 on Sunday. The War Eagles' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

Danielle Anderson was incredible, going 3-for-4 with one home run, three runs, and three RBI. She also put up a double, which was her first of the season. Another player making a difference was Colby Duke, who scored two runs and stole two bases while going 1-for-2.

Anderson wasn't the only one working in the hit department: Sycamore kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. That's the most hits they've posted since back in April of 2024.

Sycamore's win bumped their record up to 2-6-1. As for St. George's, they now have a losing record of 1-2.

Coincidentally, Sycamore and St. George's will both be playing Lexington the next time they take the field. Sycamore will host Lexington at 12:00 p.m. on Sunday, while St. George's will play them later in the day, at 2:00 p.m.
