Volleyball Recap: Homestead Spartans vs. Warsaw Tigers

Homestead was the 3-0 winner over Warsaw when they last played one another back in August of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Spartans lost 3-0 to the Tigers on Monday. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Spartans have suffered against the Tigers since August 23, 2021.

That's the most aces Goode has posted since back in October of 2024. Madison Branam was another key player, getting nine digs and five aces.

This is the second loss in a row for Homestead and nudges their season record down to 4-3. Admittedly, the team was facing some tough opposition over that stretch, including 6-0 Carroll (their opponents had an average overall winning percentage of 92.9% over those games). As for Warsaw, the win was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 6-1.

Homestead has already played their next game, a 3-0 defeat against Carroll on the 27th. As for Warsaw, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 3-2 loss against Penn on the 27th.
