Basketball Recap: Middleburg Takes a Loss

Middleburg lost against Union County back in January of 2023 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Middleburg Broncos took a blow against the Union County Fightin' Tigers, falling 81-43. The Broncos have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Middleburg's defeat dropped their record down to 8-13. As for Union County, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 12-3 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Middleburg won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Keystone Heights at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Middleburg is facing Keystone Heights at the right time seeing as Keystone Heights is stuck on a 14-game losing streak. As for Union County, they and Baker County will face off at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday without much rest having both just played. Union County will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak.
