Soccer Game Preview: Danville vs. Harmony Grove

The Danville Little Johns will square off against the Harmony Grove Cardinals at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Danville has given up an average of 3.1 goals per game this season, but Thursday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Danville is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to seven goals back in March, they were much more limited against Dardanelle on Monday. They lost 6-0 to the Sand Lizards. Danville have struggled against Dardanelle recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive lost meeting.

Meanwhile, Harmony Grove was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were a single goal away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of Cossatot River.

Danville now has a losing record of 3-4-1. As for Harmony Grove, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-3.

Danville took their victory against Harmony Grove in their previous matchup back in April of 2024 by a conclusive 7-0 score. Will the Little Johns repeat their success, or do the Cardinals have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
