Valparaiso posted their closest win since January 6, 2024 on Friday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Carroll Chargers, sneaking past 43-40. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Vikings.

Among those leading the charge was LaVon Redmond, who posted ten points. Another player making a difference was Kj Avery, who earned nine points.

Several Chargers players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Paxton Crane, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and 13 boards. Crane is crushing it when it comes to rebounds: he's pulled down at least nine every time he's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Miles Hering, who had nine points along with three steals and three blocks.

Valparaiso is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a massive bump to their 4-4 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 53.0 points per game. As for Carroll, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-5.

Valparaiso didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 69-42 loss against Hamilton Southeastern on the 27th. As for Carroll, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 71-50 defeat against South Bend St. Joseph on the 27th.
