Basketball Recap: Gobles Comes Up Short

Gobles was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They came up short against the Hackett Catholic Prep Fighting Irish, falling 61-36. While losing is never fun, the Tigers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 371st, while the Fighting Irish are ranked 72nd).

Gobles' defeat dropped their record down to 11-8. As for Hackett Catholic Prep, the victory was the 15th in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 17-2.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Gobles will take on Saugatuck at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Hackett Catholic Prep, they will challenge Parchment at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
