Baseball Recap: Rancho Cotate Comes Up Short

If Rancho Cotate was riding high fresh off their 8-2 takedown of Archie Williams on Saturday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Cougars fell 3-0 to the Casa Grande Gauchos on Monday. The Cougars were not able to make up for their loss to the Gauchos from their previous meeting back in February of 2025.

Rancho Cotate saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Gauge Cummings, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base.

Rancho Cotate's defeat dropped their record down to 1-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Rancho Cotate will face off against Analy at 3:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Casa Grande, they will challenge Novato at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.
