Basketball Recap: Pensacola Catholic Skates Past Northview with Ease

While Pensacola Catholic didn't have the best season last year (they finished 6-20), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They blew past the Northview Chiefs 72-34 on Friday. That 38 point margin sets a new team best for the Crusaders this season.

Pensacola Catholic's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Sam Quebedeaux, who went 6 of 12 en route to 18 points and four steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Solomon Sutton, who went 5 for 8 on his way to 12 points and three steals.

Several Chiefs players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Bryson Orso, who went 6 of 13 en route to 9 points. Zykel Jones was another key player, putting up eight points.

The win (which was Pensacola Catholic's third in a row) raised their record to 5-2. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 64.0 points per game. As for Northview, their defeat was their 11th straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 2-5.
