Softball Recap: Hialeah Comes Up Short

If Hialeah was feeling good fresh off their 16-1 takedown of Goleman last Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Hialeah Thoroughbreds lost 15-3 to the Hialeah Gardens Gladiators on Thursday. The Thoroughbreds were not able to make up for their defeat to the Gladiators from their previous meeting back in March of 2024.

Hialeah's loss dropped their record down to 5-4. As for Hialeah Gardens, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 5-3.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Hialeah will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Miami Beach at 3:00 p.m. on April 1st. Hialeah has given up an average of 8.7 runs per game this season, so hopefully the team got some pitching drills in this week. Hialeah Gardens also won't see the field for a while: their next game is against American at 3:30 p.m. on April 2nd.
