Softball Recap: Discovery Has No Trouble Against Valley Oaks CES

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Discovery). They were the clear victors by a 27-2 margin over the Valley Oaks CES Vanguards on Thursday. The Warriors haven't had any issues with the Vanguards recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive victory against them.

Discovery got a massive performance out of Ambert Robert, who scored four runs while going 6-for-6. With that strong performance, Robert is now averaging an impressive 3.2 hits per game. Britany Arellano was another key player, scoring five runs while going 4-for-6.

Discovery always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .660. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

The win got Discovery back to even at 2-2. As for Valley Oaks CES, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 0-2.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Discovery will challenge Central City Value at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Valley Oaks CES, they will host Sun Valley Magnet at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
