Softball Recap: Osceola Gets the Win

Osceola and Northeast pushed the score to 14-10 the last time they played Northeast, but on Wednesday defenses reigned supreme. The Warriors came out on top in a nail-biter against the Vikings, sneaking past 2-1. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Warriors have posted since February 25th.

Aliyah Lai spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered a run (which was unearned) on four hits.

At the plate, Jenna Neupaver was excellent, scoring a run and stealing three bases while going 2-for-3.

Osceola has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-4 record this season. As for Northeast, their loss ended a seven-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 5-5.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Osceola will take on Tarpon Springs at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Northeast, they will challenge Seminole at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
