Recap: Rockmart Yellowjackets vs. Fannin County Rebels
Even though the Fannin County Rebels scored an imposing 62 points on Tuesday, the Rockmart Yellowjackets still came out on top. Rockmart secured a 68-62 W over the Rebels. This was payback for Rockmart, who suffered a 69-66 defeat the last time these two teams met.
It was another big night for Treylin Davis, who dropped a double-double on 30 points and 13 rebounds. He has been hot recently, having posted 15 or more points the last ten times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Dakota Bramlett, who scored 11 points along with five rebounds.
Rockmart's win bumped their record up to 18-5. As for Fannin County, their loss dropped their record down to 10-10.
Rockmart will be playing in front of their home fans against the Mountaineers at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. North Murray is no doubt hoping to put an end to a three-game streak of away losses. As for Fannin County, they will head out on the road to face off against the Indians at 8:30 p.m. on Friday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are closely ranked in Georgia (Murray County is ranked 226th, while the Rebels are ranked 236th).
