Clovis wins going away against Espanola Valley

Recap: Clovis Wildcats vs. Espanola Valley Sundevils

The Clovis Wildcats can now show off seven landslide victories after their most recent matchup on Friday. They were the clear victor by a 61-39 margin over Espanola Valley. With Clovis ahead 32-12 at the half, the match was all but over already.

It was another big night for Kailyn Jefferson, who scored 21 points along with five rebounds and two steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points she has scored all season. Brynn Petner was another key contributor, scoring 14 points.

The victory makes it two in a row for Clovis and bumps their season record up to 12-3. As for Espanola Valley, their loss dropped their record down to 8-8.

Clovis will be playing in front of their home fans against West Las Vegas at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. West Las Vegas will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps New Mexico Rankings (they are ranked 48th, while Clovis is ranked fourth). Espanola Valley will be staying on the road on Tuesday to face off against Capital at 7:00 p.m. on January 16th.
