Volleyball Recap: Jefferson Academy Comes Up Short

Jefferson Academy lost against Longmont back in August of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Jaguars took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Trojans. The Jaguars have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Despite the loss, Jefferson Academy saw an underclassman step up: freshman Tailey Sengdara had seven digs and five aces. Those five aces set a new season-high mark for Sengdara.

Jefferson Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Longmont, the victory got them back to even at 3-3.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Jefferson Academy will face off against Valley at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Longmont, they will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Silver Creek at 6:00 p.m. on the 9th.
