Soccer Recap: Minarets Starts Season with Loss at Home

Minarets unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-pitch advantage in their season opener. They lost 9-0 to the Farmersville Aztecs on Tuesday. The contest was a 0-0 toss-up at halftime, but the Mustangs couldn't quite close it out.

The win was the third in a row for Farmersville, bringing their record for this year to 3-0.

When Minarets and Farmersville next hit the pitch, they'll be up against teams who recently just can't seem to lose. Minarets will try to stop Immanuel's four-game winning streak when the meet at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Similarly, Farmersville will try to stop Dos Palos' four-game winning streak when the meet at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
