Recap: Organ Mountain Knights vs. Silver Fighting Colts
The Organ Mountain Knights waltzed into their contest Friday with eight straight wins but they left with nine. They really took it to Silver for the full four quarters, racking up a 69-33 win on the road. With Organ Mountain ahead 43-16 at the half, the matchup was all but over already.
Brandon Kehres continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, dropping a double-double on 19 points and 14 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Ray Venegas , who scored ten points along with eight rebounds.
Organ Mountain pushed their record up to 10-1 with that victory, which was their third straight on the road. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 65.7 points per game. As for Silver, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost four of their last five contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-7 record this season.
Organ Mountain will be staying on the road on Tuesday to face off against Los Lunas at 7:00 p.m. on January 9th. As for Silver, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Safford at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
