Volleyball Recap: Ygnacio Valley Comes Up Short

Ygnacio Valley was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 25th straight defeat dating back to last season. They fell 3-1 to the Richmond Oilers. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Oilers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 back in March.

The final score came out to 25-23, 22-25, 25-21, 25-14.

Ygnacio Valley's loss dropped their record down to 0-9. As for Richmond, their victory ended a seven-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-12.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Ygnacio Valley will head out to take on Alhambra at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Richmond, they will venture away from home to face off against Salesian College Preparatory at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Oilers are facing the Pride at the right time seeing as the Pride are stuck on a five-game losing streak.
