Basketball Recap: Camden Hill Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat Apex Friendship

There's no place like home for Panther Creek, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Wednesday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 37-35 victory over the Apex Friendship Patriots on Friday. This was a revenge game for the Catamounts: when they faced off against the Patriots back in January, they had to take a 52-43 defeat.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Panther Creek to victory, but perhaps none more so than Camden Hill, who posted six points along with five boards and four blocks. The dominant performance gave Hill a new career-high in blocks. The team also got some help courtesy of Andre Richardson, who went 5 for 11 en route to 13 points and three steals.

Panther Creek pushed their record up to 13-9 with the win, which was their third straight at home. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 59.7 points over those games. As for Apex Friendship, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 14-8.

Looking ahead, Panther Creek will challenge Holly Springs at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Apex Friendship, they will take on Cary at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
