Baseball Recap: Hollis Takes a Loss

Hollis was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 17-16 heartbreaker at the hands of the Merritt Oilers. Even if the Tigers couldn't come away with the win, the high-scoring effort was a great turnaround for their hitters, which had struggled int the games prior.

Hollis' defeat dropped their record down to 2-11. As for Merritt, with the victory, they broke their four-game losing streak and moved their record to 3-6.

The teams wasted no time getting back out on the field as they've already faced off again: they played to a 17-17 tie later that day.
