Nunamiut needed a changed in momentum after dropping three straight games and they got it from Anna Nukapigak. The Nunamiut Amaguq blew past the Nuiqsut Trapper Trappers 52-24 on Thursday which was due in part to Nukapigak, who posted 31 points. She is becoming a predictor of Nunamiut's success: when she posts at least 20 points the team is 2-1 (and 3-10 when she doesn't).

Nunamiut's victory bumped their record up to 5-11. As for Nuiqsut Trapper, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-6 record this season.

Nunamiut and Alak will face off at 6:00 p.m. on Friday without much rest, having both just played. Alak will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something Nunamiut surely won't give up without a fight. Nuiqsut Trapper does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
