Baseball Game Preview: Huntland Hornets vs. Community Vikings/Viqueens

Huntland hasn't had much luck against Community recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. The Hornets will challenge the Vikings/Viqueens.

Huntland came up short against Cascade on Tuesday, falling 10-4.

Meanwhile, Community was able to grind out a solid win over Cannon County on Tuesday, taking the game 6-2. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Vikings/Viqueens.

Kaleb Maillet spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered just two earned runs on two hits and racked up 11 Ks. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than two hits in three consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Hayden Davis was excellent, scoring a run while going 3-for-4. Those three hits gave him a new career-high.

The victory got Community back to even at 6-6. As for Huntland, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-8.
