Basketball Recap: Fountain Valley Gets the Win

If Calhan wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Fountain Valley, they should've done a better job of containing Jaden Lopez-Hardy. The Fountain Valley Danes were the clear victor by a 64-43 margin over the Calhan Bulldogs on Thursday thanks to Lopez-Hardy, who dropped a double-double with 23 points and 11 boards. Fountain Valley is 5-1 when Lopez-Hardy posts 15 or more points, but 1-4 otherwise.

Tenzin Tinley was another key player, going 5-for-12 on his way to 14 points and eight rebounds. Those eight boards gave him a new career-high.

Coming up, Fountain Valley will face off against Sierra at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday. As for Calhan, they will square off against Crowley County at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday. Crowley County has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
