It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Tampa Prep can now relate to. They fell just short of the Carrollwood Day Patriots by a score of 3-2 on Monday. The Terrapins' defeat signaled the end of their nine-game winning streak.

Erik Skiendziel was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he tossed 5.1 innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits. He has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in seven consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Tampa Prep saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kyle Brill, who went 2-for-3 with one run and one double.
