Volleyball Recap: Humboldt Gets the Win

Humboldt posted their closest victory since October 21, 2024 on Thursday. They narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past the Bluestem Lions 2-1. The victory continues a trend for the Cubs in their matchups with the Lions: they've now won seven in a row.

Humboldt had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next two. The final score came out to 18-25, 25-18, 25-18.

Humboldt's win bumped their record up to 9-3. As for Bluestem, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-7-2.

Humboldt has already played their next contest, a 2-0 victory against Fredonia on the 18th. As for Bluestem, they will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Eureka at 5:00 p.m. on the 30th.
