Basketball Recap: LEAD Academy Panthers vs. Hume-Fogg Blue Knights
LEAD Academy was the 54-50 winner over Hume-Fogg when they last played one another back in December of 2015, but their luck changed this time around. The LEAD Academy Panthers came up short against the Hume-Fogg Blue Knights on Wednesday, falling 69-46. While losing is never fun, the Panthers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Tennessee basketball rankings (they are ranked 171st, while the Blue Knights are ranked 38th).
Michael Nwoye continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Hume-Fogg, dropping a double-double on 18 points and ten rebounds. With that strong performance, Nwoye is now averaging an impressive 2.1 steals per game. Alonzo Rhodes was another key player, almost dropping a double-double on 16 points and nine boards.
LEAD Academy now has a losing record at 9-10. As for Hume-Fogg, they pushed their record up to 13-3 with the win, which was their third straight at home.
