Soccer Game Preview: Boulder City vs. Basic + How To Watch

The Boulder City Eagles will face off against the Basic Wolves at 5:45 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with four consecutive losses for Boulder City and three for Basic.

Boulder City managed to keep up with Pahrump Valley until halftime last Tuesday, but things quickly went downhill from there. The Eagles lost 3-0 to the Trojans. That's two games in a row now that Boulder City have lost by exactly three goals.

Meanwhile, Basic managed to keep up with Sports Leadership & Management until halftime on Wednesday, but things quickly went downhill from there. Wolves came up short against the Bulls, falling 4-0. While losing is never fun, Basic can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Nevada soccer rankings (they are ranked 54th, while Sports Leadership & Management are ranked seventh).

Boulder City's defeat dropped their record down to 1-7-2. As for Basic, their loss dropped their record down to 4-9-4.

Boulder City was able to grind out a solid victory over Basic in their previous matchup back in August of 2024, winning 2-0. Will the Eagles repeat their success, or do Wolves have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
