Recap: Pine River Area Bucks vs. Manton Rangers
The Pine River Area Bucks entered their tilt with the Manton Rangers with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. Pine River Area took down Manton 69-52 on Wednesday. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Pine River Area also won the last time the pair played back in January.
Pine River Area's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Mason Gugle led the charge by scoring 17 points along with two steals. Gugle has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last seven times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Trevor Holmquist, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and 11 rebounds.
Pine River Area has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a nice bump to their 12-6 record this season. As for Manton, their loss dropped their record down to 8-10.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Pine River Area will square off against McBain at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. McBain has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 532 points over their last eight matches. As for Manton, they will head out on the road to take on Roscommon at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
