Volleyball Recap: Pocatello Falls Short Against Ranked Idaho Falls

Pocatello faced Idaho Falls in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Saturday. The Thunder fell just short of the Tigers by a score of 2-1. If the Thunder were looking for revenge after losing 3-1 to the Tigers when the teams met back in November of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Abby Lusk paced Pocatello's offense, picking up 13 kills. Lusk got some help from Josie Haymore and her 15 assists. Lusk was also solid from the service line: she led the team with three aces.

Leading Idaho Falls to victory were Paisley Sobieski and Addison Bowen. Sobieski had 15 assists and ten digs, while Bowen had 14 digs and one assist. That's the most assists Sobieski has posted since back in August of 2024.

Having lost for the first time this season, Pocatello fell to 3-1. As for Idaho Falls, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 5-0.

Pocatello has already played their next match, a 2-0 win against Highland on the 23rd. As for Idaho Falls, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 2-1 victory against Snake River on the 23rd.
