Chiefland and Taylor County are an even 5-5 against one another since February of 2018, but likely not for long. The Indians will be playing in front of their home fans against the Bulldogs at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this matchup.

On Thursday, Chiefland came up short against Bell and fell 8-3. The Indians have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Chiefland saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Klaire Mullis, who scored a run while going 1-for-4.

Meanwhile, Taylor County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their eighth straight loss. They might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 11-0 to Franklin County, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior.

Chiefland's defeat dropped their record down to 6-15. As for Taylor County, their loss dropped their record down to 1-13.

Chiefland was able to grind out a solid victory over Taylor County in their previous meeting back in February, winning 10-6. Will the Indians repeat their success, or do the Bulldogs have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
