Softball Recap: Mize Takes a Loss

Mize fell victim to Enterprise and their airtight pitching crew on Thursday. They lost 7-0 to Enterprise. Mize hasn't had much luck with Enterprise recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.

Mize saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Marissa Reyes, who went 1-for-3 with one double.

Mize's loss dropped their record down to 14-9. As for Enterprise, the win was the seventh in a row for them, bringing their record up to 19-7.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Mize will welcome Jefferson Davis County at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. The Bulldogs' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Jaguars have averaged an impressive 10.7 runs per game this season. As for Enterprise, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Quitman at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. The timing is sure in the Bulldogs' favor as the team sits on four straight wins at home while the Panthers have been banged up by five consecutive losses on the road.
