Softball Recap: St. Bernard Takes a Loss

St. Bernard lost to St. Pius X-St. Matthias Academy back in March and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Vikings came up short against the Warriors, falling 15-3.

Dylan Spencer was cooking despite her team's loss, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one triple, two RBI, and one double. CJ Jimenez-Baran also deserves some recognition as she snagged her first stolen base of the season.

St. Bernard's loss dropped their record down to 2-4-2. As for St. Pius X-St. Matthias Academy, they are on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last 12 matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 9-8 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. St. Bernard will face off against rival Pomona Catholic at 3:15 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, St. Pius X-St. Matthias Academy is set to challenge their familiar foe St. Mary's Academy at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday.
