Soccer Game Preview: Terry vs. Kingwood Park

The Terry Rangers will face off against the Kingwood Park Panthers on Thursday. Terry is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last seven games.

Terry is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Tuesday. Everything went their way against Georgetown as Terry made off with a 4-1 win. The result was nothing new for Terry, who have now won 11 contests by three goals or more so far this season.

Runyambo Muco and Jesus Rivas-Guzman scored all four of Terry's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 51 goals.

Meanwhile, Kingwood Park kept a clean sheet against Port Arthur Memorial on Tuesday. They walked away with a 2-0 victory over the Titans. Given Kingwood Park's advantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 131st, while Port Arthur Memorial are ranked 420th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Kingwood Park pushed their record up to 18-3-2 with the win, which was their third straight at home. The victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up one goal over those three games. As for Terry, their win bumped their record up to 20-1-2.
