Volleyball Game Preview: Boyd-Buchanan Buccaneers vs. Silverdale Academy Seahawks

The Boyd-Buchanan Buccaneers will head out to face off against the Silverdale Academy Seahawks at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.

Boyd-Buchanan took a loss when they played away from home on Thursday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Tuesday. Everything went their way against Grace Baptist Academy as they made off with a 3-0 victory. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Buccaneers as it put an end to their three-match losing streak.

The match finished with set scores of 25-10, 25-7, 25-17.

Silverdale Academy won the last time they faced CSTHEA and Emily Givens did her part to make sure it happened again. The Seahawks put the hurt on the Patriots with a sharp 3-0 victory on Tuesday for which the team can thank Givens, who had seven digs and four aces. She is on a roll when it comes to aces, as she's now served two or more in each of the last four games she's played.

The final score came out to 25-12, 25-20, 25-12.

Boyd-Buchanan's record is now 11-13. As for Silverdale Academy, their record now sits at 22-6.

Boyd-Buchanan couldn't quite get it done against Silverdale Academy when the teams last played back in September as they fell 3-1. Can the Buccaneers avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
