Basketball Recap: Alex Parastaran Key Part of Team Effort in Maroons Win

Champaign Central won the last time they faced Centennial and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Champaign Central Maroons walked away with a 52-44 victory over the Centennial Chargers.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Champaign Central to victory, but perhaps none more so than Alex Parastaran, who posted 11 points and six boards. Parastaran is also on a roll when it comes to field goal percentage, as she's posted one of at least 50% in the last four games she's played. Samara McArthur was another key player, putting up 11 points.

Champaign Central's win bumped their record up to 10-14. As for Centennial, they dropped their record down to 3-18 with the defeat, which was their fourth straight on the road.

Looking ahead, Champaign Central will face off against Danville at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Centennial does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
