Basketball Game Preview: Valley City Hi-Liners vs. Devils Lake Firebirds

The Valley City Hi-Liners will start their season against the Devils Lake Firebirds. Tip off is scheduled at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.

While Firebirds fans will have to keep waiting for their squad to come home, they shouldn't be too worried about the road trip considering the result of Friday's season opener. They simply couldn't be stopped on Friday as they easily beat Bottineau 89-40. The victory was familiar territory for the Firebirds who have now won ten games in a row dating back to last season.

Their win bumped their record up to 1-0.

As for Valley City, they've got a clean slate this season. Last year, they finished on the right side of .500 (17-14), and they're hoping to kick off an even more successful campaign this year.
