Basketball Recap: Norwayne Skates Past Dalton with Ease

A well-balanced attack led Norwayne over Dalton in every quarter on their way to victory on Friday. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that the Norwayne Bobcats blew the Dalton Bulldogs out of the water with a 57-30 final score. The Bobcats have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won four games by 23 points or more this season.

Norwayne's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Braden West, who posted 17 points. What's more, West also racked up two blocks, the most he's had since back in January. Parker Metsker was another key player, putting up six points along with 11 assists, eight steals, and seven boards.

Norwayne smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 16 offensive boards. That's the most offensive rebounds they've managed all season.

Norwayne's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 5-0. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 30.7 points. As for Dalton, their loss dropped their record down to 2-3.

When Norwayne and Dalton next hit the court, they'll be up against teams who recently just can't seem to lose. Norwayne will try to stop Cypress Creek's three-game winning streak when the meet at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Norwayne is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 66.3 points per game this season. Similarly, Dalton will try to stop Smithville's five-game winning streak when the meet at 7:00 p.m. on December 27th.
