Basketball Recap: Ryan Harris and Rylee Hagele Secure Win for Georgia-Cumberland Academy

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against The King's Academy, Georgia-Cumberland Academy was happy to have turned things around on Saturday. They secured a 37-32 W over Greater Atlanta Adventist Academy. This was a revenge game for the Jaguars: when they faced off against Greater Atlanta Adventist Academy back in November, they had to take a 60-35 defeat.

Georgia-Cumberland Academy was led to victory by Rylee Hagele and Ryan Harris. Hagele dropped a double-double with ten points and ten rebounds, while Harris shot 67% from the field to rack up 13 points and five boards.

Georgia-Cumberland Academy now has a winning record of 4-3. As for Greater Atlanta Adventist Academy, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 4-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Georgia-Cumberland Academy will square off against Cornerstone Prep Academy at 6:15 p.m. on Monday. As for Greater Atlanta Adventist Academy, they will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on The King's Academy at 6:15 p.m. on January 6, 2026.
