Volleyball Recap: Burlington Comes Up Short in High-Profile Match with Mt. Mansfield + How To Watch

Burlington faced Mt. Mansfield in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Friday. The Seahorses fell 3-1 to the Cougars. The Seahorses just can't catch a break and have now endured seven defeats in a row.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-12, 21-25, 25-19, 25-23.

Despite the loss, Burlington still got an impressive performance from Mae Yenkavitch, who had nine aces. Another player making a difference was Harper Gutheim, who had eight kills, two aces, and one block.

Burlington's loss dropped their record down to 1-11. As for Mt. Mansfield, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 8-4.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Burlington will head out to face off against Rice Memorial at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Mt. Mansfield, they will venture away from home to challenge Champlain Valley Union at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
