Meanwhile, Buckley came into Thursday's match having lost seven straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They were the clear victor by a 17-5 margin over Brethren on Thursday. Buckley's hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.
Landon Kulawiak made a splash while hitting and pitching. He struck out six batters over four innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off five hits (and not a single walk). Kulawiak was even better at the plate, going 3-for-4 with a home run, seven RBI, and two runs.
