Basketball Recap: Madison Robertson's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Cross Creek over South Gwinnett

After flying high against Social Circle last Saturday, Cross Creek came back down to earth. The Razorbacks fell 59-54 to the South Gwinnett Comets on Saturday.

Cross Creek lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Madison Robertson, who almost dropped a double-double with 20 points and nine rebounds. Robertson is crushing it when it comes to boards: she's pulled down at least eight every time she's taken the court this season. Nacayla Evans was another key player, putting up 13 points and three steals.

Cross Creek's loss dropped their record down to 2-2. As for South Gwinnett, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 3-4 record this season.

Cross Creek will welcome North Augusta at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for South Gwinnett, they will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Newton at 6:00 p.m. on the 9th.
