Softball Game Preview: Newton-Conover Red Devils vs. Maiden Blue Devils

Newton-Conover is 1-9 against Maiden since March of 2019 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Red Devils will be playing at home against the Blue Devils at 5:00 p.m. Newton-Conover has given up an average of 13.9 runs per game this season, but Tuesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Newton-Conover is headed into Tuesday's matchup looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their 12th straight game on Monday. They came up short against Bunker Hill, falling 18-0.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Maiden, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Wednesday. They never let St. Stephens get on the board and left with a 4-0 win on Monday. The victory continues a trend for the Blue Devils in their matchups with the Indians: they've now won three in a row.

Newton-Conover's loss dropped their record down to 2-14. As for Maiden, the win got them back to even at 8-8.
