Basketball Game Preview: Ogemaw Heights Falcons vs. Houghton Lake Bobcats

After both having extra time off, the Ogemaw Heights Falcons and the Houghton Lake Bobcats will shake off the cobwebs and square off against one another at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Given that both suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this matchup.

Two weeks ago, Ogemaw Heights came up short against Grayling and fell 53-42. The game marked the Falcons' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Meanwhile, Houghton Lake might have been a little too into the holiday spirit, gifting Gladwin an easy 75-54 victory. While losing is never fun, the Bobcats can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 434th, while the Flying G's are ranked 66th).

Houghton Lake's defeat was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Ogemaw Heights, their loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 3-4.
