After flying high against Palmetto Scholars Academy last Friday, St. John came back down to earth. The St. John's Islanders fell 8-3 to the Lowcountry Leadership NaviGators on Friday. St. John's was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Lowcountry Leadership apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in March.

St. John's saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Will Shelton, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-2. The team also got some help courtesy of Alfredo Juarez-Hernandez, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-3.

Even though they lost, St. John's didn't let batters stay on the plate for long and finished the game with ten strikeouts. That's the most strikeouts they've managed all season.

On Lowcountry Leadership's side, Payton Bullock was incredible, going 1-for-2 with a home run and three RBI. Kingston Bowens was another key contributor, going 1-for-3 with a home run, two runs, and two RBI.
