New London had already won four in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 8.5 runs) and they went ahead and made it five on Tuesday. They came out on top against the St. Bernard Saints by a score of 6-2. This was a revenge game for the Whalers: when they faced off against the Saints back in April, they had to take a 8-4 loss.

New London's win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 10-7. Those home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.0 runs over those games. As for St. Bernard, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-16.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. New London will venture away from home to challenge Grasso Tech at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Whalers' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Eagles have averaged an impressive 6.9 runs per game this season. As for St. Bernard, they will challenge Griswold at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
