Eastwood has gone a perfect 8-0 against Genoa Area recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Eagles will head out to challenge the Comets at 4:45 p.m. Eastwood is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last three games.

Eastwood can't be too worried about heading out to take on Genoa Area: they just beat Oak Harbor at home, who had been dominant on their own field up to that point. The Eagles had just enough and edged out the Rockets 1-0 on Monday.

Eastwood saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Connor Norton, who went 1-for-4 with one run and one double.

Meanwhile, Genoa Area fell victim to Lake and their airtight pitching crew on Wednesday. They fell just short of the Flyers by a score of 2-0. The Comets haven't had much luck with the Flyers recently, as the team has come up short the last five times they've met.

Eastwood's victory bumped their record up to 13-3. As for Genoa Area, their loss dropped their record down to 4-8.

Everything went Eastwood's way against Genoa Area in their previous matchup back in April, as Eastwood made off with an 11-1 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Eagles since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
