Football Game Preview: Clay-Battelle Cee-Bees vs. Gilmer County Titans

The Clay-Battelle Cee-Bees will venture away from home to take on the Gilmer County Titans at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Gilmer County took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Clay-Battelle, who comes in off a win.

Two weeks ago, Clay-Battelle took their matchup with ease, bagging a 48-6 win over Valley. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Cee-Bees.

Meanwhile, it's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 55-26, which was the final score in Gilmer County's tilt against Wirt County on Friday. The Titans have struggled against the Tigers recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.

Although Gilmer County took the loss, they still got scores from Lexington Grogg, Cody Smith, Tyler Ratliff, and Remi Huffman.

Clay-Battelle now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Gilmer County, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-2.

Clay-Battelle came up short against Gilmer County in their previous meeting back in August of 2019, falling 34-21. Can the Cee-Bees avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
