Volleyball Recap: Dixon Dukes & Duchesses vs. Morris Redskins
Dixon extended their postseason success on Thursday against Morris. They came out on top against the Morris Redskins by a score of 2-0. Winning may never get old, but the Dukes & Duchesses sure are getting used to it with their seventh in a row.
While Dixon won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the second set they played. The final score came out to 25-20, 25-22.
Madyson Tichler paced Dixon's offense, picking up ten kills. Tichler got some help from
Leah J Carlson and her 13 assists.
Makenzie Toms controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.
Dixon is on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last 11 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 23-14 record this season. As for Morris, their defeat dropped their record down to 19-17-1.
Dixon will welcome Limestone at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Dixon will be looking to keep their four-game home win streak alive. Morris does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
